Fascinating post. I have been thinking a good deal about gender issues lately, especially Western versus Eastern views on the subject. However, this was the first I'd heard about "reki-jo" and "grass eating boys".

This is the first time I've heard these terms myself. I wonder how commonplace they are, or if they are just terms that were created for journalism.
