Well, I don't think our domain could support a second vampire game. I would strongly push (and this is me wearing my DC hat) that we have either one or the other.
That said - neat about Apocalypse. I've slowly come to the conclusion that its a better game.
I don't know... I think that having a second game could work fine, dependant on how the rules were going to work, how decisions were made on venue theme and where other Rochester LARPs are. I could play Adrian one weekend and Tremere the Dooming another. Or Sabbat.
But... that's not something I'm ready to look at right now. I want a few more games of Requiem under our belt and to hear more about what the new venue is going to look like regionally and nationally before I make any decisions. (Puts on hat) As DST, however, I am open to listen to points going both ways and generally lean towards more games = good.
Now, see, there's the thing. It really doesn't matter what the venue looks like regionally or nationally, as long as it gets some amount of support. Where I'm coming from is the idea that we already have three active venues within this domain, and a fourth venue that the vast majority of the domain travels to on a regular basis (Auburn). I know that people were considering trying to put in another venue when it went live (Geist). Adding a sixth venue on top of that would, I think, be somewhat problematic in terms of scheduling and site.
Personally, I can't be in that many venues. My concern is that that would hold true for a lot of the domain and our small domain would start to splinter, which would hardly help game attendance.
In the end - if there is support in the domain for running any given venue, I'm not going to say no. I am going to counsel caution in trying to over-load our gaming plates, however.
