Enterprise: These Are The Voyages....
Ya know, it's occured to me, that this isn't just a bad episode. Because it is. It's like a Enterprise-TNG crossover episode based fic you'd find on fanfiction.net.
Seriously.
It's fanfiction.net stuff.
Doing a kind of crossover, I could get, given how time travel has played a role in the seriess, given how they're a key part in the founding of the federation and thus everything that comes after it. Seriously, I get that might be a nice idea. But they way they did it? No, no, no, no, no!!!
It could maybe, maybe at best be considered some kind of out take from TNG, in which Riker's very interaction with the program altered the events in it, events that probably weren't acurate in anycase. And even then you're grasping, because it's just so.... crap fanficy!
There is one bit in it that I do like though. The bit at the end, with the three Enterprises? Transitioning from one era to another, going back in time, and seeing our ship sailing off into the unkown. The merging of the music, and the different captains saying the same thing together. That I like, it's nice. But, it in no way makes up for the rest of the episode.
