I hope you all don't mind but i have a question about the Slash'EM variation of Nethack. I've played Nethack for years now and decided (since i was having problems installing nethack on my linux laptop) to install Slash'EM. I hope you can all help me a little bit

Guns aren't randomly generated but they can be found on various flavors of soldiers. Personally I think guns sorta suck though. Slow rate of fire, restricted level of expertise... damage doesn't make up for it enough I think.

And no. Shopkeepers suck.

I don't #twoweapon, so I would not have known. I haven't Slashem'd ever since I found Vulture's Eye/Claw to be buggy in the quests.
