Getting back into Nethack after months off following my first ascension. (Every game I played was crappy. Dying almost immediately.) RNG gave me a Barbarian (same as my first ascension, haven't played Barbarian since my ascension.) Neutral this time instead of chaotic, though. I hear the artifacts are better as a Neutral. Will miss

I'm probably one of the slowest players you'll ever come across. My ascension was over 100,000 turns. Don't remember the exact number, I think around 104k. I read about a 5,400 turn ascension once and was wondering how the hell they managed it. I'm lucky to be to Minetown by 5,400 turns.

I learned to play mostly spoilerless (believe it or not. If you look at my old posts here, you'll me mention it a lot so no one gives me any.) and think that kinda skewed my play style. Even now that I've begun to embrace spoilers (because it's only fun spoilerless for so long), I doubt my play style will change much.

My best friend's style is similar to yours, actually-tried to avoid spoilers forever, now is coming to like them-and so I "get" the reasoning behind it.

I feel so stupid.
Just died as an archeologist, attacked by a wererat (with some other rats) while fainting from lack of food because I red a blessed scroll of punishment...
Tried to lose the iron ball on a sink (doesn't worked) but I don't event think to dig a hole with my pick axe :(

How does throne IDing work?

It's a random effect of #sitting on a Throne. At this early stage (and since I know there are at least two more Thrones in the game), having everything IDed was probably better than getting a wish, as I didn't know what I had yet.
