Dare I dream of ascension?

I've been playing Nethack on and off since 2001, never yet succeeding in
even getting to the Amulet, far less ascending. But yesterday I booted
up a random character, drawing a neutral gnomish Ranger, and... well.

Shall we say I got very lucky with three bones piles, such that even
after a /oCanx mishap with my first BoH I've still made it all the way

If I were you, I would have blessed, fooproofed, and fully enchanted all my armor before picking up the amulet, so as not to have to deal with Rodney's respawns while finishing up the kit. I'd also wear the rings of slow digestion and free action in preference to the ones you have on, and have used those wands to polypile for a shield of reflection, etc.

But then, I tend to be a slow ascender. :)

Well, looks pretty damn good for the most part to me, most of my ascensions have been with less kit than that.

One thing it looks you might not have thought of is a method of finding the portals once you're on the planes (ususally scrolls of gold detection, read whilst confused). Looks like you've got the means to write up the scrolls (which are cheap), but you may want something to confuse yourself with.

More potions and more HP both wouldn't hurt, nor would another Magic Marker, but all those points always apply really, so don't get too hung up on it.
