Some other people have also posted it to the web, and credit is always given to Anonymous, that prolific author. But I hadn't seen it before. Thanks for posting it. (To see the other web copies, google on "west pointing horn".

*nods* i have seen it around. it frustrates me not knowing who wrote it. even in my mom's sketchbook (where i first discovered it) - which dates back to, i believe, 1973 - it is listed as anonymous.
