Foreign Bestiary

Jan 07, 2009 23:46

While people from different worlds seem to be stumbling into the Netherworld, it appears various creatures from different worlds seem to be coming as well. Here we are attempting to catalog all available information in regards to these new and mysterious foreign creatures. Some of these creatures may even seem familiar to certain residents.

Characters can encounter these creatures anywhere, but, naturally, places that make more sense--such as water-related creatures appearing near rivers more often than in the desert--will have more of them. Use a bit of creativity along with common sense. Also, keep in mind that many of these creatures are very, very strong.

If you have a suggestion for an addition to the bestiary, please fill out the following form and simply reply to this post with it:

Name: The name of the creature.
Series: What canon the creature is from.
Description: Physical description along with something about their behavior and anything miscellaneous and interesting.
Picture: Not required, but this is very, very helpful for both the mods and the other players who may want to use the creature in some way. Simply link us to a picture of the creature.

Will will either then reply with a comment saying 'accepted' or 'not accepted'; if the suggestion isn't accepted, we'll give a short reason why.

Foreign Creatures

Monkey Island
--El Pollo Diablo
A strange, strange beast whose name (from a mysterious, mysterious ancient language of some kind) roughly translates to 'Giant Demon Chicken'. On the eve of the full moon, his blood-curdling squawk can be heard from every corner of the Netherworld. It is believed that one day, he will roam the land, exacting terrible vengeance on those who would capture and eat his smaller brethren.

Bleach

--Menos grande
Enormous shadowy figures that happen to be the fusion of many powerful souls known as Hollows; these are souls that did not pass on to the afterlife and lost their sense of humanity while wandering Earth. Aside from their size and one energy blast known as a 'Cero', they are actually fairly weak.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
--Grape Hippo
The bastard child of a hippo and grapes. While fairly stupid, they make excellent wine. Or maybe burgers. Or both! They're docile, but stupid. They do not, in fact, have arrows in their head.
--Gatorbunny
Part bunny, part alligator, all monster. Their behavior is what one would expect from a bunny/alligator hybrid. What is to be expected, you ask? Hell if I know.
--Tanukowl
In the future, it is promised that raccoons and tanukis will fly. Well, the future is now! These flying raccoon beasts...well, they fly. They also behave like raccoons, meaning that they'll forage in your garbage and sneak into your attic.

Touhou Project
Fairies
--Little generic-looking fairies who, in Gensokyo, did everything from menial household tasks for others to harassing strangers for no reason whatsoever. They fight by shooting swarms of Danmaku, which are little colorful magical bullets. Though incredibly, incredibly weak individually, they tend to attack in swarms.

Warhammer 40,000
--Necrons
--Tyranid
