Yes, I noticed afterwards that you were posting about this the same day, and in much the same wording!

JD and LI are so fabulous in that adaptation, and I agree with you completely about how well JD wears his boots and cravat. He definitely needs more opportunities to do so. Surely a thoughtful producer somewhere could find another early-19C vehicle for him and LI, in which they could, you know, be from different backgrounds and yet team up to fight crime or something. *eyes Wilkie Collins oeuvre speculatively*

And if they had some sort of suave superior ordering them about and taking them to task for their crazy, not-by-the-book methods *cough*SamWest*cough*, why so much the better...
