It's that time again.  Give me your book suggestions, people.  I go to HPB on Saturday.

I think I need more userpics.  Maybe I'll take some on my outing today.

Half Priced Books. I say, never buy a book new, there will always be some idiot to do that for you.

I'm a big fan of the Jack Whyte "Camulod Chronicles," if you're into that sort of thing. Also, Terry Goodkind's "The Sword of Truth" series, which I'm THANKFULLY almost finished (there are 12 books).

Or "The Woman with the Alabaster Jar."

Or anything by Dan Brown. Or Stephen King.

i love love love HPB. there are quite a few houston locations and i never leave one empty-handed. my personal faves are in the LGBT and social sciences section, but if you're looking for good fiction, i'd go for anything by Jeanette Winterson, especially Written on the Body. Also, Janet Fitch's White Oleander is amazing, way better than the movie and it's long, but so engaging it ended up taking a day and a half for me to read.

I actually already read White Oleander. I might still have it here somewhere, unless my sister has it. I know I could go in and like almost anything I picked up, but if I don't have some idea of what I'm looking for, I'll leave empty handed.
