I read in a "Hints From Heloise" article many years ago the secret to getting melted wax out of your carpet. The solution is to place a paper towel directly over the wax and then iron over it with a hot iron. Repeat until clean. Since the wax heated up it smelled good again. Now I have wax free carpet and a pear/grapefruit fresh room. -

So, I had a flood problem last night. Water came through my bathroom ceiling and through the floor of my roommate's bathroom. It was standing nearly three inches deep in there, and it flowed into the hallway and my bedroom. The emergency number is diconnected so I went to the property manager's apartment. She wasn't home.
