If you can deal with the squick value of a silicon cup, there are also washable panty liners with wings. You have to wash them in a separate load, but they are way more comfy than the plastic pads. I could never really hack tampons anyway. Here's a link on how to make them if you're feeling industrious. http://www.instructables.com/id/Cloth-pads/

I'm sorry to hear about the problems you've been having. I had your Germany for a few days, but I'm not sure where it is now. Email me with it sometime.

It's coincidental that you mentioned your bike project. I just finished getting mine back up to par too. Great minds think alike! BTW welcome to the Brunette side of life.

From what it sounds like, you're already using the cloth pads, which makes me smile ^_^

This indestructables website is awesome! I'm going to look for some more projects there.

Are you wanting my address or my phone number?

The diva cup looks interesting but I don't produce enough blood to warrant getting one.

I swallowed a lot of blood getting my teeth out and now I am nauseous.

Same here, I just use toilet paper because I don't bleed enough for anything else. I've never heard of this cup thing, I'll have to look it up. Isn't it lovely that of your whole entry, this is what everyone comments on?

BTW... hair not growing because you're not eating meat? I have lovely long hair and I've been meat-free for 16 years, you know you get plenty of protein from every food you eat, not just meat or animal products. In fact, the quality of protein is better in non-animal sources. Don't make me go all lecture-vegan on you ; )!

I know, I know...
I just don't think that I personally AM getting enough protein. I don't think I'm eating the right things that would add up to the right protein. You know what I mean. They say that the easiest way to get the protein is to just eat the meat, but then you can also get it by mixing this bean with that grain or whatever. You can see why I don't think I'm doing it right. I can also tell I have some problem because my wounds don't heal very quickly. OH I did find out that not only do I have low blood count all around, the red cells are smaller than average. Perhaps this is part of it? Who even knows, it's not like the doctors here care enough to find out, right?
