• Finally! Faith Fraud & Minimum Wage is set for theatrical release in Canada in October.
From The Chronicle Herald, Aug 5 (link no longer works):

"George Mihalka (My Bloody Valentine) has earned a best director nomination from the Director’s Guild of Canada for Faith Fraud & Minimum Wage, a movie based on Dartmouth writer-actor-director Josh MacDonald’s play Halo.
Filmed in Nova Scotia in spring 2009, the movie is set for theatrical release in Canada in October.

MacDonald also wrote the screenplay for the coming-of-age comedy-drama starring Callum Keith Rennie (24, Californication) and Martha MacIsaac (Last House on the Left, Superbad). Among local actors in the cast are Andrew Bush, Kate Lavender and Cory Bowles.

Other Directors Guild nominees for Best Director of a Feature Film, are Atom Egoyan (Chloe), Penelope Buitenhuis (A Wake) and Reginald Harkema (Leslie, My Name Is Evil)."






• Faith Fraud & Minimum Wage is part of the Atlantic Film Festival line-up, with Bruce MacDonald's Trigger.






• Unnecessarily, Case 39 gets a new trailer, site, poster & release date, obiously surfing on Bradley Cooper's recent fame with the A-Team movie. you gotta love the subtitle here






• Scandalously, Shattered season 1 has been reduced to 10 episodes, with the last two ones aired as a a 2 hour season finale.




• Shattered counter: 3 days!!!

• Unrelatedly, I've fallen hard for White Collar which is shiny and quirky. I really didn't need this. _divya_ approves.

• Talking about vids, leelu7 is brave enough to already make a vid about Shattered. She has made seriously awesome BSG vids which you should comment upon if you like, because she really deserves the praise.
