My Lexus, Rick Ross is a fraud, and stripping isn't art, fools

First item on the docket: I got my Lexus today! It's lovely - SUV (RX model), champagne exterior, tan leather interior, wood grain trim. I want to lick it. And I can if I want to. My mom loves it, my brother is jealous, and my dad is so happy for me. He says I've worked really hard for this. I'm very pleased. If I can find the time/camera, I will ( Read more... )

I'm glad to hear it! It's my pleasure to post in the rare instances when I have what could pass for an intelligent thought.

Thanks for the congratulations. I think I will name her Alexis.

I still think even if you don't consider it art, it is still an expression that should be protected under the 1st Amendment. I mean Coca Cola ads are not fine art, they are used primarily as a means to sell a product, but a Graphic Designer still has to make them and create them.

I would be rather pissed if I were a club owner and I was getting shut down for some moral minority city code bullshit, while a more performance style burlesque show or college revival of Hair could still go on as part of the arts.

I think strippers and strip clubs should be allowed to do their business, but I'm still on the fence as to whether or not I think it's artistic expression and an amendment issue. I definitely don't want strip clubs to be closed (and I agree 100% with what you said about club owners getting pissed). I liked being a stripper, and I certainly wouldn't want to deny a woman her right to choose her profession and how she's going to provide for herself. Okay, so maybe it is an amendment issue.

I get frustrated when I hear people coming up with justifications for keeping clubs open (or keeping porn legal) because I wish it wasn't an issue. I love strip clubs and I love porn, and I just wish people could live and let live instead of pushing their morals down others' throats and forcing them to resort to all sorts of justifications.

It's a confusing situation for me, emotionally, because as a Christian, I'm encouraged to denounce these kinds of things, but I can't seem to reconcile my absolute fascination with the adult industry.

First - yay for new wheels. I love that you want to lick it... do it. It's yours - own it.

Second, I was really following you and nodding my head... and saying "give 'em hell neur0" and then you said "and Candy with her exquisite lucite heels knows this" and I was on the floor laughing.

I catch so much shit for my name being Candi... so many people ask me if I'm a stripper. *facepalm*

I forget the point of this comment... It's 2am... I need sleep. But I LOVE reading you... always insightful even when my ass needs to be in bed.

I absolutely love that your name is Candi. When I first read your name, I was rolling my eyes and thinking, "Here's another girl who thinks she's hot shit." But it's real! You are the Original Candi. W00t!

(I have no idea what I'm saying; I just woke up)

Thanks for your words, honey. *hugs*
