"Well, baby, I'm a put-on-a-show kind of girl." - Britney Spears

I went to dinner with a group of friends tonight, and during the course of conversation, I realized that it’s probably not appropriate for me to be publicly disclosing all the aspects of my recovery journey on this online journal. I really appreciate what you're saying here, and I think (hope) you're right. I'm such an extremist, either/or kind of person that I have a tendency to say, "Either I'll talk about everything, or I'll talk about nothing." I often forget that there's the middle-of-the-road solution. I would think that I have the option to reflect on my Big Book readings and discuss my growth, and that's all fair, as long as I'm not talking about other AA members or what's said in meetings.

Bottom line, what I need to do here is ask my sponsor what she thinks.

LOL! Reading this line was the best way for me to start my morning!

I just bitch about debt.

Preach it, sister! I'm right there with you!

I'm going to be honest... I'm at work, I've just spent the last two hours reviewing a rather consuming toxicology paper so my brain has effectively rotted and turned to mush so do forgive me for any lack of coherency.

Mostly I just wanted to say a) good job on your 30 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and b) yes, what amazonqueenkate said.

I wish I had something truly profound to say but really at the root of this: I am always so happy to see you posting, even if it turns out to be your deepest darkest secrets, I smile and continue to be thankful that you are here with us on this earth, that you are on my friends list, and that you are who you are - honest and forthcoming, not afraid and not ashamed to share your life and your past with others. I respect the hell out of you for that.

*big hugs*
