A new midwife came round this morning as asked for my "story" - why they're all incapable of looking at my notes I don't know, but I guess it's to make conversation and break the ice. When I explained it all she looked at me deadpan and just said "Well why don't you just go into labour instead of sitting around here for three weeks

You should have just replied that you were doing what was best for the health of your baby rather than putting your own selfish needs first. That would have shut her up. I absolutely hate medical professionals who try to put people's decisions down because they want to feel superior in their own. Its why the thought of having another baby in an NHS ward gives me hives.
