Moving and Stuff

Jan 09, 2009 21:58

So for those who don't know, I'm going ahead with my planned move to Hawai'i.  At the end of this month, I will be leaving my Waltham apartment, and then sometime in the next couple weeks will make the flight over.

Because of this, there's a lot of various stuff in my possessions I will be giving away.  Anyone who's been to my apartment might have ( Read more... )

What kind of bed is it? I may be interested.

Sorry, it's probably not really a "bed" so much as full-sized mattress and box spring along with a basic metal underframe.

I have interest in the kitchenware, TV stand, and possibly also bed. Maybe a lamp.

Conveniently I am moving to Waltham around the same time you are moving away from it. (Though this is irritatingly inconvenient from a B5 perspective.)

Yeah, that's too bad. I wonder if I'll be able to find anyone to play B5 with in Honolulu... When are you making the move?

(You're welcome to any of the things you expressed interest in, though I do need to do something with them by the 31st.)

I'm likely traveling to Maui with Xmas at the end of April...

Sweet! I'll be on Oahu, but maybe we can get together some time. Will you be arriving or leaving through Honolulu? Even if not, I might be able to take a flight over to Maui to hang out.

What are you general plans? Just vacation?

Ooh, that's cool that you're moving to Hawaii!

I might be interested in the tables, the kitchen table with chairs, the DVD bookcase and square bookcase, and the plastic storage units. I have hardly any furniture in my apartment, so it would be nice to get some...I will have to check with my brother, who lives in Waltham, to see if he would be willing to put it in his car.

The bookcase is 3x3x1 feet, so it might be tough to fit in a car without taking it apart, but that's not really a problem if it's necessary. The table comes apart easily, but the chairs might take a couple trips. They're just normal armless chairs, but well, they're chairs.

Have you talked to your brother about taking my stuff, and when can he come get them?

I haven't gotten to talk to him yet, but he's been pretty busy lately, and I think trying to coordinate it would be too much right now, so you can give them to someone else.

I might be interested in everything that's free.

That would be awesome. I'll let other people grab the specific things they ask for (assuming they actually come get it), but if you can come on the 31st most anything in the apartment is yours for the taking. You can come by earlier to get a feeling of what volume it'd take if you'd like.

Do you have storage space at Camelot yet or will you be bringing it back to your current place?

That's the issue. I'll have a better idea by then where I might be able to store things.

Hey Greg, do you want to specifically claim anything in addition to your general "whatever's free" interest? I don't want to give you a weaker claim just because you were broad in your interest, so if there are any particular pieces you definitely want give me a heads up.
