lol, yeah...well that sort of explanation doesn't work well since both of them experianced it..
I guess it would have to be both of them having a seizure at the same time...with the same exact reaction.

Well, while I don't know exactly, what means "was doing some past life work" (meditate?), but once I have experienced somthing close to "suddenly felt very hot" from inside. It happened when I was in a hospital and was administrated Magnesium_sulfate intramuscular. Then the niddle of the syringe accidentally got into some blood vessel inside the muscle, as doctor said afterwards, and I was feeling like "fire" went from bottom to top of my body. Very unpleasant feeling.

So, some medicaments may cause you feeling fire from inside.

As for "past life" (should it means previous life or postmortem) I don't believe in it:)
