OOC: All About Chris [Updated 5/8/08]
Chris Halliwell - from Charmed
Christopher Perry Halliwell is the second son of Piper Halliwell and Leo Wyatt. He is the brother of Wyatt Halliwell and the nephew of Prue Halliwell, Phoebe Halliwell, and Paige Matthews. His mother and her sisters were the "Charmed Ones," a trio of witches who were the most powerful force of good on earth. In addition to his witch heritage, Chris's father, Leo, was a white lighter (a guardian angel), and Chris has inherited abilities from both.
Our first introduction to Chris in canon was in the episode Oh My Goddess (Parts 1 & 2 - 5x22), when he came back from the future to save the Charmed Ones from being killed by the Titans. At the end of the episode, Leo becomes an Elder and Chris becomes the new white lighter for the Charmed Ones. At this point and through the first half of season six, no one knows Chris's true identity. It ends up coming out that he came back to save his older brother, Wyatt (at this point, around two years old), from turning evil in the future. The season six finale (It's a Bad, Bad, Bad, Bad World 6x22) has future!Chris dying and baby!Chris being born.
Through season 7, young Wyatt and Chris were being raised by their mother, father and two aunts (Phoebe & Paige). At the end of season 7, the Charmed Ones and Leo were about to be outed by a Federal task force, and they faked their deaths to avoid this happening. Before doing so, Piper signed over guardianship of her sons to her father, Victor Bennett, along with giving him the Halliwell Manor and her nightclub, P3. She and her sisters also bound the boys' powers to protect them from evil coming after them.
We are pulling Wyatt and Chris from an AU where season 8 never occurred. They were raised by their grandfather, assuming their parents had been killed in a house explosion, and knew nothing of their magical heritage. Fate intervened, however, and one day, when the boys were almost hit by a car, one of Wyatt's powers (a protective force field) activated itself to save them both. After that incident, the boys started digging around and soon discovered the Book of Shadows hidden away in the attic of the Manor. Much like Phoebe at the beginning of the series, Chris recited an incantation from the book and the boys' powers were restored.
Victor decided to send them to Fandom High to keep them safe from any evil that might want to come after the sons of a Charmed One and to give them an opportunity to learn how to safely use their magic.
From his witch heritage, Chris has the power of telekinesis (which manifests through his hands). He also has the ability to recite spells and make potions. From his white lighter heritage, he has the ability to orb (teleport) and some limited, minor healing ability. He's not as powerful as his brother, something that makes him exceptionally neurotic in canon. He also worries a lot about Wyatt turning evil, thanks to some wacky Fandom plots that have given him the memories of some of his future, AU selves.
He's very much the 'good' son. He wants to please his Grandfather and his brother and he wants everything to go right. He's a good student and he tries very hard to stay out of trouble. On the flip side, he doesn't have any problem breaking the rules if he thinks its for the greater good. In canon, he works with demons to try to figure out who/what turned baby!Wyatt evil, much to the chagrin of Piper, Leo, Phoebe and Paige.
Chris got his first major shock when he met teenaged, alternate universe versions of his mother (cookinggeek) and his Aunt Phoebe (future_visions).
He got his second major shock in October, when his biological parents showed up for Parents Weekend. They tried to pass themselves off as distant relatives, but Chris and Wyatt eventually found out the truth -- that their parents and aunts faked their deaths all those years ago to escape a powerful demon and Homeland Security. He's still dealing with that one; especially since he & Wyatt spent the holidays with their biological parents and learned that they also have a younger sister, who was raised by an adoptive family.
Since arriving in Fandom, Chris has turned into a girl, lost his memory, lost his hearing, turned into a gay cowboy, turned into a spider demon and numerous other things that I don't have links handy for :) He and Summer Roberts (snarkyprincess) finally got their heads out of their asses at prom (thanks to some interference by friends) and are now in a relationship.
