LINES SUCK.
LICK MY BALLS YOU FUCKING TARDS AT AX.
THE SUN ALSO SUCKS.
FUCK YOU SUN.
I got very little sleep and I was still sore from the DEG show the other night.
After getting dressed rather half-assedly, I walk my happy butt to the convention center from my hotel.
Let's just say that it seems a lot closer by car.
u___u;;
So I walk along the registration line from hell until I find the end of the world.
Luckily my grief is set aside for a moment by Man Faye who hangs out a little while.
He lost a lot of weight!
:O
This line lasted for hours.
I'm not overexaggerating.
I was in line from about 7 in the morning until like....11.
Then....
I had to get into another line for the GA SKIN tickets.
I forgot my sunscreen, and after what happened to my face at JRR, I thought it wise to just leave my shit in line while I find shade under a nearby tree.
So then staff comes out and tells us to take out our badges so we can get our tickets.
After we get them, we are sent into one direction.....
Then sent to another....then sent back.
Yeah.
AX staff for the fail.
They didn't have a fucking clue what they were doing.
So I sat out there...getting hot and sticky and burning my ass on the concrete.
I kept seeing people with big ass lemonades and snow cones.
I was dehydrated as fuck.
The time they were supposed to open the doors came and went.
It got to the point where...I just decided to get the fuck out because I couldn't take it anymore.
I started to break out in hives and I was getting a tad bit scared.
I called a friend to ask if she had water, and she brought it over to me.
I was seriously thinking about just ditching the concert altogether, but I called Nicole and told her to call me when they finally open the doors.
I began my quest for the lemonade.
5 FUCKING DOLLARS FOR LEMONADE.
But did I give a shit?
Fuck no.
I make my way back to the line with something to drink this time and find my place again.
To my relief, the line was actually moving and towards shade.
Joy... <3333333333333
When I finally get in, it takes me a minute to find my seat.
I've never been in seats and can't even begin to figure out how to read the number on the ticket.
The show took seemingly forever to start
I didn't care that much since I was sitting down.
Everyone decided to pass the time by doing the wave.
Then a couple of guys near my section did the robot....very well. O__O
We gave them well-deserved applause.
Finally, the show starts....way after it was scheduled to end.
I will say this...
S.K.I.N. was rather good.
I might have liked them better if they had a different vocalist though.
I just....can't stand Gackt.
>.<
The music itself was really nice, but....
Nothing to go gaga over.
I think the best part of the show was when Yoshiki and Gackt started to play on piano, then Miyavi joined on shamisen, then Sugizo on violin.
It was quite beautiful.
I have a feeling that after I listen to these songs for a while, they will eventually grow on me (particularly Beneath the Skin).
Their performance was amazing, the overall feel was quite good.
Definitely a great experience.
The chanting of SKIN and GET BACK got to be a bit much though.
It wasn't helping my already sore throat.
But anyway, I hope to hear more of them.
They seem promising enough, but I need more.
Will I buy their album?
Of course.
Would I like to see them again?
Certainly.
Are they my new favorite band?
Heh. No.
I think don't think DEG will ever be moved from that spot.
