Two unrelated questions

Firstly, is Electric Shock Treatment still used in psychiatric hospitals? Secondly, can anyone recommend any autobiographical or fictional books about mental illness? Over the last few weeks I have read 'The Catcher In The Rye', 'Prozac Nation', 'Girl, Interrupted', and 'The Bell Jar'. I'm after more suggestions. Thanks in advance
