I've worked 4 out of the past 5 days and I'm so insanely tired. Work had been really great before my five day break.. I had wonderful patients and a rewarding few days. One guy I'd taken care of at the end of March for only a day brought me in a huge bouquet of flowers. Then we fast-forward through that weekend to Tuesday the 24th, where I went to ( Read more... )

I hate hate hate that part of 206. When I'm about to make the decision "Should I take 517 home, or turn by Shop Rite and take the back way?" I think that construction zone often factors in. "Yeah, I'd have to get out of the car and punch in the code for the gate, but if I go the back way I don't have to drive through THAT part of Byram."
Anyway, driving through there always fills me with anxiety, because I'm worried about getting a ticket driving SO much over the nonsensical speed limit, but forget going 40, I've had people tailgate me when I was going FIFTY!
Where is your new apartment? Have you moved in yet?
(In addition to the Mars and Venus book, I recommend Why Men Love Bitches by Sherry Argov.)

Ooo, I have to read that!

My apartment is going to be in Oakwood Village, off another obnoxious area of 206. At least I won't have to deal with Byram anymore.

Are you coming "home" for the summer?

Where is Oakwood Village? Is it in Flanders? As much as I've been driving on 206, to the point where I feel like I'm starting to memorize every building alongside it, I don't know where that is. It's not that one in Flanders where you'd have to cut across four lanes of traffic to make a left, is it? By that stupid big hill that everyone hates to get stuck at the traffic light by?
I'm not quite coming home, but I'm not staying away either. I'm home now. My parents and I are going to France in a week, right after I take my last (and only) final, and then I'm coming back on the 27th. At some point this summer, I'm doing an internship in the Pinelands and the rest of the time I'm working in the Chrysler Herbarium and living in New Brunswick. But I'll still be in New Jersey and I imagine I'll come home to visit and hang out with people a lot. Also I'm going to request one week to stay in Sparta and recover before I go to the Pinelands.

Oops, I didn't mean that to sound negative, about the location. I actually think it's really cool you've moved out. You're living the dream :) I was also asking because I drive right past there on my way home from NB and maybe we could meet up; I don't know if there's any good place to grab coffee around there or something but I'm going down there (and coming back up again) tomorrow.

I don't move in until July 1st, but definitely sometime after that. ;-)
