Notes: For the kinkmeme...somewhere.

Rise's soda can gurgled as she slurped out the last of her drink through her straw, staring idly into the distance. It had taken a little bit of convincing and a lot of sweet-talking, but the idol had won out in the end; some might see it as a hollow victory, even confusing, getting the drinks machines moved out to be in clear view of their secret headquarters. But Rise?

Rise was very satisifed with the outcome. She gave a happy sigh, still staring right at where Yosuke was retrieving their fresh cans from the machine, almost bent over double as he picked up yet another can that threatened to slip out of his grasp. The straw dangled between her lips for a few moments more until she spoke up.

"You know," she remarked, "Yosuke-senpai might be kinda dumb sometimes, but he has a seriously nice butt."

The effect was immediate: Naoto immediately ceased speaking, blinking wide eyes at her friend; Chie and Yukiko almost spluttered in unison before turning bright red. The whole table fell into silence. So much for having girlfriends I can talk about this kind of stuff to.

"...Rise-chan?" Yukiko ventured, after the pause threatened to become even more awkward than it already was. "Where did, um...where did that come from?"

"What?" Rise said, setting the can down with a light clunk. "It's true! I mean, I love senpai and all, but you can't deny that Yosuke pulls off those jeans way better than any model! Maybe even better than I could, if they were in a cute capri cut..."

"That much is true, at least," interjected Naoto, the brim of her cap pulled down just a little. "However, it is to be expected if you are an idol, Rise-chan, and still has no bearing on our current conversation."

"Still...I guess she's right," Yukiko said, thoughtfully, gaze wandering over to where Souji had stopped by Yosuke, Nanako trailing behind him. The trio were helping to pick up cans now, the red-denim-clad backside still in full view. "He does fill them out very well, from this angle."

"Wha- Yukiko!" spluttered Chie. "That's Yosuke you're talking about! Are you crazy?"

"Huh...? Crazy? No, Rise-chan was just right, that's all. Don't you think so, Chie?"

Chie's vehement disapproval of that idea seemed to be more earnest and loud than a single 'no' could hold. The pair slipped easily into debate on the matter, in the manner of an easy old argument that only lifelong friends could have. Rise occupied herself with staring at Yosuke's ass some more as he dropped the Cielo Mist yet again. She gave quiet thanks to whoever had constructed the Junes foodcourt that everything seemed to roll away again, giving her a nice, long look.

A good thing like that couldn't last forever, though, and Rise pasted on her brightest smile as Yosuke returned, doling out the drinks with mumbled recall; she was even amused to see that Kanji got the thrice-shaken Cielo Mist, rather than subjecting any of the girls to that. It didn't stop the brief flash of jealousy against Yosuke's chair as he sank that perfect behind down into it, one leg crossing over the other.

"So, what'd I miss?" asked Yosuke, cheerfully.

"Nothing!" Chie and Yukiko said, almost in unison.

"Nothing of note," Naoto added, much more calmly, but with a light tinge of pink on her cheeks.

"Oh, I dunno...I thought it was pretty important stuff," Rise grinned, cracking open her new drink and glancing to the side. "What do you think, Kanji-kun?"

Kanji wiped his nose with the sleeve of his jacket, firmly glaring at the ground to his side.

"U-uh, yeah. Nothing. Not a damn thing at all."
