Phone calls aren't enough, she decides; not nearly enough. Chie's always been the physical type - a 'tactile learner' as Naoto-kun would put it - someone who likes to get their hands dirty when they're into something. No sitting around and reading books for Chie, if she can help it. She wants to get in there and do itWhich makes it all the harder to do the long-distance thing with Souji. A few advance payments on the allowance let her get a webcam, but it still doesn't seem enough, seeing him and talking to him across that grainy old screen. She's considered following him there more times than she can count - it's not that far to America! She could get Yosuke to give her a steady job at Junes, save the money... - but she knows she won't. It's too far and he's always gently insistent that she stay, finish her studies. He says he'll wait for her - always with that smile on his face that makes her stutter and blush - and sounds for all the world like he means it

Seconding the love. Stop turning this pairing into my OTP, you fiend*.

Stuff like Chie bolting out of bed the second she makes the mental connection of Souji = Awake was great. This whole thing filled me with warm fuzzies and as I am an enormous wuss it made me happy.
