oh i thought u guys have gotten the kids and the women out of the way??? anyway. now i know that u dun like kids. u rather be a gynaephile instead of a paedophile. disgusting, u. :P

anyway, lots of us got crazy short cases. but one of my examiners' my fav lecturer, a child psych :D:D and a friend got a long case of a pituitary insensitivity which has to be diagnosed by some big shot geneticist over in cambridge. another classmate got that same case and she panicked and flipped over. mentally.

well, for us only O&G is separated from the final exams, and even then only the clinical aspect is over... i still have the written exams in my Surgery paper.

Dontcha think that a cooperative woman with a problem confined to the female genital system is easier to examine as compared to a squirmy wiggly child with a potentially multisystem disease in paediatrics? A wider scope in paeds compared to focusing in O&G?

And Dontcha think that direct history taking is more precise than indirect history taking?

and it doesnt help that the paediatric examiners are EVIL. whereas the O&G ones are nicer :P

oh yes. i can so agree with that fact that paediatricians are nasty people. they went up to my classmates who got the honours viva telling them, "i am sorry but you have to go to [name of a hospital forty five minutes away from city centre where the paeds department is based], at this point they all probably nearly collapsed believing that they have been called for a pass/fail!!!

to be honest, o&g is actually one of the best postings so far, just that i have totally NO interest in it at all!! the lady i had actually told me that i could go ahead and present whatever i want, and if i mention a wrong fact, she would just nod and pretend that it is correct!!!

i really pity a few of my friends who screwed up their paeds and have to repeat the entire thing along with our surg and med papers in april!!
