saw this in last saturday's The Guardian. (yes. i am reading old newspapers. and i love reading old newspapers. they were new when i bought them. and as i read them, they became outdated.)

...london has five times as many chinese herb shops as shanghai.

oh yes~!! those are very very interesting too!! especially when they are your local newspapers. you recognise the place names or even the people's names, and it is haunting to then realise which building has been torn down and who has passed on. *shudders* :D
