For the record, I type this while I watch the movie Milk and whiloe my body tries to recover from the worst cold/mild pneumonia ever (AKA that time my throat swelled so badly I couldn't breathe and the ER made me do chest X-Rays).
Creature/Aliens: It depends on the characters. Moony and Padfoot is one thing, Pete Wentz/Giant Squid is another.
Mpreg: When I'm having a horrible time, I track down teen pregnancy fic. I don't care who or where or how badly written, I just have this NEED for pregnant teenagers. It's a matter of time until I marathon glee.
Slavefic: Only if it's recovering slave fic? Slaves fighting for freedom? Otherwise, it's a bit uncomfortable for me. Consent issues. If it's IDK, like slave play? And it's negotiated? I'm good.
Pain: I like it. I like fic where people are into pain and where people are hurt and then comforted by others. H/C without the comfort seems awkward.
Humiliation, shaming: Only if it's a sex thing? if it's not a part of a scene, I quietly hit the back button. Not my thing, is all
Power exchange, dominance and submission: Actually, I feel like I have a comfortable niche as a beta for these kinds of fics. I like them, I'm comfortable with them. It's cool.
Age difference: I roll with it. I saw Queer As Folk (US) at an age that kind of left my brains going Meh at age differences. So long as one partner is too young to have mothered/fathered the other, I am good.
Bloodplay: Like, knives? I'm good. On the ther hand, I just learned about this thing? Vore? it's all over the gleekink meme and um, I find it disturbingly fascinating. Don't find it attractive at all but I can't help but watch the trainwreck.
Underage (chan): ...If they are both well matured sexually, okay then, but some of this 12/13 stuff and these 13 year old Harry hooks up with 30 something Snape is a little...uncomfortable for me.
Crossdressing/Genderbender: Just don't be full of fail. There's a right way and a wrong way to to display those communities.
Bodyswap: It's not a turn on. But I find it legit.
Dubcon:...maybe. If it ends in comfort.
Noncon: Depends on the how.
Incest/Selfcest: I've read a couple pieces of carefully handled incest. It's not my thing but I know it's huge for some fandoms and I leave it the space for the respect that it deserves. Selfcest... Is that masturbating? Or sleeping with yourself through time travel? Because the later can be hilariously faily. The first is weird.
Threesome/moresome/gangbang: I find it vaguely troubling that gangbang is listed with 3+ because I like poly-relationship fic a good deal but gangbangs aren't necessarily about love and care.
Death: ...like zombie sex? (okay) vampire sex? (ew.) ...ancient Mummy sex (why are there NO Mummy fics in bandom?) unanimated corpses? (no, the dead can't really consent) anthropomorphic manifestations of death? (Hell yes. Neil Gaiman's Death is amazing. Can we get some Endless!Bandom up in here?)
Watersports/scat: Scat is always a no. Always. I would have said the same for pee but there was this fic with pee. in a cup. Lots of cups really and Pete was going to mark people - Mikey really- like wolves and then Bob heard and needed to stop Pete from getting Frank and it was- long story short, I am forced to admit I am pee optional. Pee is no longer a dealbreaker.
Crossovers: ALWAYS YES
Unhappy/wide-open endings: I like it but I preffer encores.
Violence/Torture: ssc?
Established relationship: Established relationship hijinks are awesome!
