were it not for you
my thighs would be huge (even more huger than they are)
because I might finish my desserts myself
I'd walk a lot less
I'd never have to chase you around the yard
in my bare feet
just to make you come inside.

you may steal food off the counters,
and talk back to me when I tell you to stop.
