For some time now I've wanted to make myself a hematite pendant, and tonight I finished. This is super long compared to what I usually make, aprox 28 inches long, but I wanted something I could wear with either high or low necks. To make up for how huge that one is, I made myself also a tiny amethyst choker.
Ok, so here's the hematite necklace. I had a tough time scanning in the colors on this one. It's a chunk of hematite caught in a net of seed beads, with round amethyst beads along the sides. Then it has a chain of silver lined sead beeds, with beady beads (I wrap them myself) and amethys rounds. Oh, pewter clasp.
I felt the amethyst looked black on the light background, so I tried it on blue. I don't know if it helped, but there's a nickel stuck in for size reference.
Here's my little amethyst choker: a tiny pebble of amethyst netted up in sead beads, and then an even tinier amethyst crystal dangling. Since with the netting I hold stones in by tension, I'm a tad nervous about this crystal. I don't know, if I can ever find any superglue I'll add a drop or two. It's fine now though... Anyway, beady beads for the chain and then it's got a beady bead catch that can be adjusted 3 different ways (I use bigger beads for the catch).

Ok, close up on both pendants
And the backs of the pendants, which for some reason always makes me proud. With the amethyst the pebble is so thin that you can see light through if you hold it up to a window. :)
PS. Thank you Sean for doing the grocery shopping for me today, and feeding everyone so I could bead it up all day!
