Everyone has been discussing what they are reading lately so I thought I'd chime in. I had started the Darkover series many years ago after getting Landfall from
bifemmefatale as a gift. I read through The City of Sorcery and stopped. After that I just kept rereading those. The stores around Margali are my favorites so I think I just stuck with them. Well, I

The one I got these at is on Army Trail Rd in Bloomingdale. It's in the same Plaza as the old Navy but it's a little further west on Army trail. It's one of those Books-a-million type places, where you walk in and it's almost as big as a Borders but it's used books. I have one closer to my house too and they've been great.
I personally like the smaller, hole in the wall used bookstores. You know, the ones with some old dude running the place, shuffling around. The places with piles of books spilling out everywhere. Those are great. But these new used bookstores are more like a chain. They're huge and have been a gold mine for me to find some really awesome stuff.
One of them was called Books a Million but they aren't all called that. It's like the new breed of bookstores. You walk in and think that it couldn't possibly be used books but then it ends up being just that!

So glad you're enjoying Darkover as much as I do! It's one of my 2 favorite worlds--ones I'd actually like to live in. Which is weird, seeing as it's a patriarchy and coooold.

I love Darkover. I guess because it's mostly Scottish based when you come down to it, I have a soft spot for it.
I've been near obsessed to link Landfall to future stuff. I read a short story by MZB or another author in the Darkover setting and it clicked that Neskaya comes from New Sky (One of their original settlements). And St. Valentine of the Snows was possibly father Valentine from Landfall. I just get a kick out of it. Rediscovery was a great book for that because they explained some of it.
It's such a fun series!!!
