I was thirteen at the time. Good ol' summer 2004. Carrie was going to a summer program to study Japanese and I was going to a summer camp because I was one of those genius kids. Hers happened to be in New Paltz, NY and mine happened to be in Montclair, NJ. As a result, we got to spend quite a deal of time with each other
