He was advancing on us in an obviously hostile manner while announcing his intent to attack us after defeating an enemy our combined efforts could not harm, and he did it by himself. What was I supposed to do? Let him kill me?

And if I missed? I'm not a perfect shot, I had no idea what his capabilities were. Hell, you're all about protecting people. If he had gotten loose, who knows how many "illusions" he would have killed before someone brought him down.

ZAFT revealed three new units they had built - three Gundams. Despite all the security surrounding them, they were stolen, several guards getting killed in the process.

In the ensuing firefight, some kind of shadow creatures attacked. They were immune to nearly all of our weapons, but Shiro... did something, killed all of them, and then nearly killed us.

I'm... not so sure about Shiro. When I lost consciousness, he still sounded insane.

Those shadows he was fighting... I could feel them in my mind. It was like they were some kind of beings of solid fear.

That's horrible! Couldn't he have just disabled it or something? I mean, no matter what was going on with him he was still a member of the GDF!

Besides, it's hard enough to imagine friendly fire accidents happening on accident... but this?

I know! That's why I destroyed our beam rifle. In the end we were able to disable him without killing him.
