Two of my fics have been reviewed at cot_tossed! *Gulp* And those guys are brutal.

Review for Dangerous Games
(Jack/Ten/Master) (NC-17 rated, darkfic, slash, BDSM, physical/mental torture, blood, suggestion of non-con)
During the Year That Never Was, the Doctor, Master and Jack have kinky sex. Jack seems like an unwilling participant, but -- SHOCK! -- the sub is the one in control and enjoying it. I found myself slightly concerned about the apparent lack of lube, and the inconsistency in the writing: one has the impression that the author baulked at writing an outright rape fantasy, and rapidly changed tack in the last paragraphs. Not that this is a bad thing (non-con: no thank you), but it's a bit whiplash-inducing.
Hmm. Well, as for the lack of lube... yes. There is a lack of lube. Because as far as the Master and Ten are concerned, this isnon-consensual. I didn't "balk" at writing a rape fantasy, the fact is that the plot is a little more complicated than that.
If the person being "raped" is enjoying and is secretly consensual, is it still rape? I suppose from the rapist's point of view, yes. But then again, Ten is being forced into raping Jack, so is he as much of a victim as Jack? As far as the Master is concerned... yes.
But Jack actually likes what is happening, but is hiding the fact and therefore feels as though he is getting one up on the Master. If this is being treated as a game, then Jack feels he is therefore the winner.
However, if you think about it, Ten isn't doing this because he wants to, he is being forced into it. To that end, his sense of guilt and pity for Jack is making him suffer, and so he is really the one being punished here. If the Master is as clever as he thinks he is, then he knows that Jack is really enjoying what is happening, and so he is only punishing the Doctor, and in that respect, it's the Master who has won, on some level.
BUT, if the Doctor is as clever as he thinks he is, then he knows that Jack is enjoying it, and so feels as though he is giving Jack what he wants, and comfort as well. (I haven't said why the Doctor is aroused... either the Master has engineered it somehow to enable the task in hand, or in his knowing that Jack is enjoying it, the Doctor lets himself enjoy it too - you decide). In that respect, then the Doctor and Jack have both got one over on the Master.
And it was hot, too. ;D
So... at the end of the day, my fic might be filthy, and more than a little bit sick, but see? It works on so many levels...
To be fair, I think the reviewer has missed the point of the plot somewhat, but to be even fairer, I guess they have to read so many fics they probably don't have time to sit and cogitate about any of them to a big extent. Still, I think I got away fairly lightly here, could have been worse... ;)
And then, wow-whee, I got a good review!
Review for A Letter to the Doctor
(Alt-Ten ("Handy")/Rose) (G rated, cute and fluffy and will make you go "What? Ooh... Ahh! Aww.")
Epistolary fic, in which Handy writes a letter to Ten telling him about the new family he's created with Rose. (The letter itself is being held in the Torchwood vaults until the universes cross over again.) It's a cute, fluffy little fic and very sweet. Oh, did I mention that Handy was the one who had the baby? God, I love my fandom. Rose/Handy mpreg is the most awesomely cracktastic idea ever. Good job, Never_more_cat.
Hoorah, they liked it!
Which is no mean feat, given that the subtitle of the journal is "This is not a (fic) to be tossed aside lightly. It should be thrown with great force". Yikes.
