❝ There’s a shadow of clatter and disturbance in this apartment- scattered books and a flipped table, red spotting the light blue carpet in a disordered patch. But without the disarray parting the tide, there would be nothing between the two figures to divide them apart; one vehement and seething with ire tailored into the bend of his brows, lips pressed thin enough to define a severe line. Amory stares at the other figure as if sight alone could cut holes into his forehead- the other, the dark-haired offender reflecting the glare with his top lip upturned in a look reminiscent of something faintly predatory. They’re not difficult to miss, those canines that edge past the top of his lower set, similar in width to a humans, except tapering outwards in the middle to narrow to a point. It plays to a stereotype, perhaps more-so that Frankie’s old pair

[ It can be assumed that the mood at the Blue Light when Amory and Frankie are left to close is either that of frigid silence or innocuous derision. Tonight is one of those silent hours of glass sent tinkering and clanging, chairs clattering in movement as they're arranged in their proper order, voices locked up quiet with nothing needed to be said, no one to be insulted.
And so it's a complete surprise when Amory, with full intention to keep mum tonight, finds words drawn from his mouth as though possessing life unto themselves. It's not even clear to him what they're saying, until he's had a chance to listen. Obviously he recognizes the words then, only a fool would be blind to the thoughts running through his own mind. ]

[When Amory speaks, Frankie pauses, righting himself after pulling a chair up onto the table. It's kind of an odd conversation starter for anyone, but moreso for Amory. Still if that's the weirdest thing that happens tonight it'll count as a good night. So he turns and raises an eyebrow.]

I dislike vampires, I won't deny that. [ a pause ] I hate them.
[ There's a sharp clang as the last clean glass is slipped in its crate, the ring sustained in the hollow of silence. ]
I don't hate you. You annoy me, but I think you must realize that yourself. And that's why you continue to pester. [ He looks up at Frankie, and the next words that leave him are inescapable. ] It's not blind prejudice.

Lot about vampires to hate.
[It's a cautious concession of sorts, not an agreement but an admission that he's done some pretty shit things in his life, things he's not proud of. Frankie picks up another chair and flips it easily to set on the table beside the first. For all the seriousness of this conversation-- he's bright enough to guess that Amory's cursed.]
I'd probably still annoy you, but it'd be less fun.
