You know, I was thinking about it earlier today, and I think the way mom acts around you in particular has a lot to do with the fact that you are the youngest and so was she. In fact, both mom and dad are the youngest in their families, which makes me think they have a soft spot for you. And makes me think that mom wants even more than for me or Jon to make sure that you don't turn out like she has. She pulled all the same sort of stuff you talk about in this journal with me, but I think it intensifies a bit becuase she feels that little extra connection with you. The way I see it, Jon gets the good end of the stick because Mom doesn't know how to deal with him and Dad doesn't really want to.

And you probably look mad in your picture for the same reason that we can never sound sincere when we're saying something. It's just a Vallier curse, I guess.
