Today Mrs. Swenor talked about the “left” and “right” minded people. Right, if I remember, was in a nutshell, the neat one. Even steven. Left was obviously the opposite. Right, scientific and mathematic, left, a writer, artistic. Examples? Right eats his/her food section by section, making sure that each section does not touch or mix. Left ( Read more... )

Haha, take a lucky guess. They say guys are more commonly ruled by the right side of their mind, but I beg to differ.

Definitely a lefty. And definitely jealous because I never got to take that class in high school, even though I signed up for it EVERY YEAR.

I have been having the same issue with art class, curse them. If I'm lucky I'll get into beginner's art my senior year.

I know, I've been listening to it over and over ever since I watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind earlier today. If you remember my earlier entry about being obsessed with the song "El Tango de Roxanne," it's basically a replay of that.

I must have missed it. I haven't been watching much tv lately, besides an occasional dose of Family Guy and my weekly love, Sex and the Ciy (it was quite an episode today).

I doubt you'd be forcing anything. The two sides are not absolutes; there is a pretty sizable grey area in between. I used to have a book about the differences between left-handed and right-handed people (which are nearly identical to the differences between left-brained and right-brained people, respectively), and in it, the differentiation was explained as follows:

Left-brained people tend to see an entire forest whereas right-brained people tend to see a single tree at a time. Obviously, there are advantages and disadvantages that come along with each, but I think that in my experience, that analogy's held more true than the "strictly good at science, strictly terrible at science" criteria.

I used to have a book about left-handed people and right-handed people too. But I'm guessing it was much smaller, there were a lot more pictures, I bought it at the age of around nine maybe, and the only two things I really remember from it were it opened backwards (apparently more handy for left-handed people) and that you can tell if a crab is left-handed or not by which of its claws is bigger.

Your information is much more informative, and comforting.
