I really wish I could be of more help, but I don't know too much about the best route's for particular individuals.

Have you looked into local resources and organizations for transgender people?

I'll do what I can to help, but again, I don't know if there's much I can do. I would start with local organizations. If you need help finding them I might be able to help you with that.
