I've been wondering lately. For those who aren't from Earth, what sort of religions do you have on your world? I know that's a big question, but.

Maybe a simpler question. Do you believe in an afterlife? Do you think that god--or the gods--distinguish between virtuous and evil people?

Oh. Hawkeye, is it all right if I come by for lessons

I haven't before, but it's a comforting thought to believe in.

"A comforting thought"--so have you changed your beliefs, or do you just think it's a relief?

I think many benefit from having something to believe in.

I certainly can't deny that. It's been a source of strength for me.

Well... We have gods and the like, I guess. I don't know much about an afterlife though.

What happens after death isn't considered important?

Well... I've heard about people seeing a god of death, but I guess we don't think about death much. It's just another part of my job.

Oh? What is your job? You look a little young, I didn't expect that you had one.

Not hands-on training, is it?

Nothing like a little hands-on experience after all.

I'm just kidding, I wouldn't put you in front of a patient until you're ready. But we got the needed supplies down here and if we do get a patient I can show you on a real live model.

I've had experience, just not by the traditional method.

But that won't do me a whit of good until I get this chip out. So I need to make sure I can help in other ways.

Are there? I haven't see any.

I suppose it's possible, if they can take people from any time period.
