So today I went to the doctor about my back. Fun times. I didn't get the quick fix that I had hoped for. It turns out that I was probably having muscle spasms in my middle back most likely due to playing the piano for so long and not having the muscle strength to handle it. wouldn't the whole playing piano make your back stronger?

are you gonna have to get some orthopoedic bench?

Back problems seriously suck. I've inherited quite a heap from my dad. It's something about the long torsos.

One pill for the rest of your life is actually not that bad. I have been on several medications for about the past year and you really just get used to them (one of them I know I will be on for many, many years to come). So even if you have to take it after the physical therapy, it shouldn't be as bad as you think.

Also, strengthening stomach muscles really help to keep your back in good shape. Stomach crunches are excellent for that. I do a few every night.
