Apparently, the BBC has pushed back the premiere of the second series of Sherlock to 2012.

You guys, why does England hate me? :(

Blame Peter Jackson. He seems to have snagged both the leads for The Hobbit, and trapped them in New Zealand for the next while, so they won't be able to do press for Sherlock. I'd bet that's why, at any rate.

I'm so confused though because Mark Gatiss has been tweeting photos from Sherlock read-throughs and whatnot - I'm assuming that Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman have contracts with Sherlock so does that mean they halted the whole production so that they could flit off to New Zealand? I also heard BC is just doing voiceover work and that MF is mostly done so I don't get why that would mean a three-plus month delay. IDK, I feel like we're missing some crucial intel here!!!!

With Peter Jackson, it's never "just" voiceover work. Who knows what the deal is, to be honest.

PS: Thank you! That's Rainbow Dash.
