The fact that Obama could even be elected president is the first sign of change. A lot of older people I've talked to in my family say they didn't see anything special in Obama because they have heard the 'change' speeches before, to no avail. One of my friends was talking about how excited he was because he got to call his grandmother who had lived through a lot in her day, and share in the moment with her. It was really moving. It's clear what my views are but when I saw that message it was really special.

i'm proud to be able to witness this change towards a better future..and I am not even American..but I really glad that I have less things to worry about in regards to all my favourite Americans

Yea, part of me thinks he'll be assassinated. We talked about it at work, one of my coworkers doesn't think it's possible with secret service and all, but I think that's ignorant. I mean, people have at least got guns and fired shots NEAR presidents fairly recently, and with presidents MUCH less controversial. Another part of me thinks he will be fine, he'll serve his term, and anything the public doesn't like that he's done in office will be blamed on his race. But the majority of me is optimistic. Go team!
