Gideon was walking down the corridor and humming slightly to himself. He didn't know what all this business was withJack.. it was all highly confusing, really. He did know that he liked the time he spent with Jack, but he knew it was wrong.... but it did feel so nice...

He was thinkng about all of this when he saw a sillouette in front of him that he recognized. Comng closer, he saw the figure sit and, closer, he saw that he was right. "Barty." he said softly a few paces away.

Barty folded his book down, looking up to the voice. He stared at the boy for a moment, as if trying to place him.

He blinked emotionlessly before the recognition came across his face. "Gideon..." He seemed a bit unsure of himself at first, but ended his name strong.

"How are you?" He bit his lower lip, trying to stop the twitch.

Gideon nodded. "Confused." he said, honestly. He had no reason to lie to Barty. Barty didn't deserve that of him. "How are you?" he asked, leaning against the stone wall and looking at him. "Never did get to ask you that after that night.."

Barty eyed him, his head turning to the side. "Confused?" He shook his head with a laugh. "Confusion seemed to fall over the castle."

He grew quiet for a moment, staring off into nothing. "I'm better." His eyes turned back to Gideon. "I wish there was more to occupy my time...."
