You're in the Wasteland and it's dark. There are piles of rubble and rubbish everywhere, casting shadows. Hills and crevices, and large discarded pieces of machinery. It stretches on forever, larger than is possible. There's no escape on foot from this Wasteland. The Wasteland is the whole world.
It is also curiously empty. No small nighttime

You're in the Wastelands, Lucy. [He flings his arms up in a grand gesture, laughing, somewhat unhinged.] I'm king, here!
[He looks at her a bit longer and then jumps off of the pipe to grab her by her shoulders. He sticks out his chin in a sort of pout.]
You're not being careful.

I'm safe with you. I don't have to be careful.

[The whole of the Wasteland is lit suddenly by a terrible red-and-orange light, an enormous planet in the sky creating vicious biting winds throughout the landscape. The Master bellows upwards, though not at it.]
EVERYTHING BROKEN. IT ALL. FALLS. DOWN.
[He punches a hand forward, palm out, to shoot a line of blue electricity at the sky and the sky explodes in a canopy of fire before burning away to blackness. There's still enough light to see by but it's not coming from that void of a sky.

Would you like to see your Kingdom?

It's a mess. I shouldn't be asleep.
[As he jumped over a pile of rubble, everything shifted, shining bright orange. Everything was orange and red now, the grass and the sky, and the Master landed beside Aion, wearing something like a dusty red/black uniform, scruffy like he'd been at the start of the year. He had a nasty sort of black gun in his arms and it started to spark as soon as he landed.]
Here. This again.
[He ducked under a pile of garbage that created a sort of shelter.]
Get over here. Don't draw attention.

[He pulled a small device out of his pocket and began to make adjustments to his gun.]
It's a war. They brought me back for their war.
[He froze, and went absolutely silent when two Daleks flew over overhead. He waited until they'd left to start talking and working on the gun again.]
They won't let me have a TARDIS, though, no, they're afraid I'll just swan off.
[He put away the device, and switched something across on his gun, took a breath, and moved to look through a hole in the shelter, aiming his gun.]
Everyone else in my unit is dead.
