[The Master rolls his head slightly sideways on the armrest of the sofa to direct a bleary-eyed look in the direction of Lucy.]

Chicken noodle. [The thought of French onion makes him feel ill. Besides that, he IS running a fever, but that's, like humans, only a few degrees higher than his normal temperature, which means he feels a little bit cooler than human. But less than usual. And still shivering. It's weird.] Excellent.

[He turns back to not focus on the TV and to pull the blanket back up around himself again.]

[As promised, the hot toddy is ready within a few minutes. The soup will take longer because of course Lucy is making it from scratch. She carries the drink over carefully]

No. I'm fine. [And of course he'd say so even if he did, but he gets himself shifted upwards anyway, coughing somewhat as he does so.] Excellent. [He takes the drink from her, careful not to spill it on himself, and holds it with both hands, resting it onto his chest. He speaks again, plaintive, and a little thoughtfully.] I'm never sick.
