My ear lobe? I've got a 0g wooden plug in there! You're probably seeing the grains in the wood, which are remarkably similar in color and direction to that of my hair. The rest of that is metal. ;)

Yeah! I couldn't tell if I was seeing through to your hair or not. I knew it was a slightly different shade, but just wasn't sure. Damn! I had no idea your lobe was stretched that big! I think that's cool, but I am way too chicken to ever stretch my ears. I worry that I wouldn't always like it. Go Ande! :-D

I've made a lot of permanent alterations to my body in the last 4 years or so, and I've changed a lot since. I still really like the stretched lobes, but I do worry that they are more permanent than most piercings. I have become a lot more conservative in the last 4 months, and I suspect that more changes will come along with that. I don't intend to take out any more piercings, but there is a tattoo on my back that is due for some modifications as a result of said changes. Either way, the mods are a part of me, my personality, and my experiences, and I embrace all of them.
