2 weeks, and 2 days

So in just over 2 weeks, i will be leaving Seattle for a while. Just like leaving Los Angeles, it hasn't really hit me yet. I'm not really sure leaving Seattle will have the same impact that leaving Los Angeles did. I certainly love the city, and want to come back here to live someday in the future. And i also have a few friends, but there isn' ( Read more... )

A very enjoyable musing! Thanks for posting about this.

How about going to dive bars? You'd probably need at least one partner to go with you, but there are some fascinating dive bars in Bothell, actually. There's one at the junction of Bothell Way and 68th AVE and others along Bothell Way in that area. It may not be your scene, but it's still nice to be able to say you've been to a bar with a Christmas tree decorated with Budweiser cans cut into flowers.

I'd love to visit a dive bar that is actually a dive bar, i.e. not the prissy high class dive bars that Belltown is populated with. But i feel that i really need to be with someone I'm comfortable around to truely enjoy a dive bar. Which sadly means that i probably won't have the opportunity to experience one in my last two weeks since all said persons are 1000 miles south.

*ahem* what do you mean "there isn't anyone i'm exceptionally close to?" hmm? and what's this about moving closer to a girl? and plus you have a friend living in seattle that you've known for awhile and probably won't be moving away. unless it's to alaska. or maybe the south pole.

dude there's tons of shit that you haven't done here. did you get to see the fremont troll? or take the seattle underground tour? or visit the emp or psc? or the zoo or aquarium? cause i've only done the underground tour and i've been here two years. and it took me a year and a half to actually go out. but then again, it was probably because you moved up here. hahaha.

and los angeles is lame. mostly because of the temperature. and traffic. and jerky mcjerkjerks. i think you do need to move back once you finish school. that's a good idea viet. why thank you.

i hope you have a safe trip. i'm sorry i can't accompany you back. and make sure you tell tara i said hi, if you see her.

The EMP is lame! But the Woodland Park Zoo is nice (if only in my high school memories-- haven't been back since) and after visiting the zoo, you could run around Greenlake.
