I don't think I have many Canadian LJ friends so most of you might not know who he is...bur at 4:45 this morning, Canada lost what I believe was the best politician we had, certainly now, possibly ever.

I absolutely lost it this morning. His death is a loss none of us will overcome. I can only hope that someone will come along to carry on his torch. He was the first person to get me interested in politics. He was just so human.

Oh Jess, thank you. I feel less alone now. Many people seem sad but no one at least openly lost it like I did. I am still trying not to cry while in public.

You are so right. Except who's gonna carry that torch? I know his son is in politics but honestly other than his wife, I don't know much about his family, politically.

I had heard about this and how much of an amazing person is. I am sorry for your country's loss, but at least he will be remembered when his party takes power! ♥
