“Arthur?” Gwen looked over at Arthur, who had appeared out of nowhere and was standing next to her. She’d never seen him in the kitchens before, and to say she was surprised was to put it lightly. “What are you doing here?”
“I could ask you the same question.” Arthur just looked at her, confused. “Why are you washing the dishes?”
It took Gwen a moment to collect her thoughts before she smiled, and answered him. “It’s soothing, in a weird way.”
Her answer just confused him even more. “But I thought you said you hated washing dishes ( ... )

“Can’t I make the beds, instead?”
“Duran’s helping with the beds today.”
Amhar groaned. “What if I ask him to trade with me, and he says yes?”
“No, Amhar.” Gwen knew Amhar had traded chores with his younger brother before, and wasn’t going to let it happen again. Duran did anything Amhar told him to. “You’re washing the dishes today, and that’s that.”
“But I hate washing dishes!” Amhar looked like he wanted to throw a temper tantrum, but a stern look from Gwen stopped it in its tracks. “Mother, please, I’ll do anything else. Anything. I’ll muck out the stables, clean the leech tanks, anything! Just don’t don’t make me wash the dishes ( ... )

Well, part of me wants to be cruel and continue the awkwardness by having Arthur walk in on Gwen. But heh no.
Hmmm...How about Arthur get's Amhar his first sword...at like five or something and Gwen's response, which I imagine would be the written version of o.O
