By refusing to help people, you've instigated a whole slew of problems.

Empathy is important, and most people have difficulty with understanding or don't want to. [This is the first serious conversation he's had in a while about this and it is like a balm on his soul.]

More often than not, people see only what they want to. Or use things to ignore that everyone is a person. But that doesn't mean people can't change. They just have to be open to it.

The thing is, every person has meaning. Every life has value.

You don't have to completely empathize with everyone to know that.

That's true. But not everyone that can empathize even a little, uses it. [See Lucifer, you as you usually are, etc.]

People have to want to use it for it to help themselves or other people. Like you said, we all have meaning and value. The more we talk and work together, the more we can learn and understand.

Then how do we help others see life as valuable? The people who attack others, they seem almost blind to that fact. There's no easy way to show them how meaningful every spark of life is.
