Love it! Especially loved the foot articulation, so precise. You look very comfortable on stage, grounded. It still kind of blows my mind that this is an actual thing that you do.
Yay, I've been waiting for it! Yes, I agree with the "grounded and precise" comments. And I think it's cool you got your own little backup chorus, and, although it's a simple thing, that you are that solid now getting up on canes.
it's a simple thing, but still not easy! it takes me the first fifteen minutes of warm-up, at least, to be able to jump up onto them, and once i get tired it becomes a near-impossible feat again. i still haven't figured out what cues to use to get up. jump more, let my shoulders come farther forward, push out of my arms, lift my abs, hollow, keep my feet in close to my body by maximizing my straddle... all these things seem useful but trying to do them doesn't guarantee success. nevertheless i almost always get it in performance. thank goodness.
thanks! "perpetuum mobile," by penguin cafe orchestra. _swallow suggested it to me.
i'm thinking of you and your cast and your recovery, btw, as i like around icing and elevating and taking pain killers. hope you are taking care of yourself and taken care of by others.
